Dugga, Big Brown looked like he got caught on the rail early but overcame that with no problem. Don't know what happened. It's not that he ran out of gas, he never had any gas. Didn't look like the same rocket horse from the other two races. Wow, what an upset.

Yeah ,he broke to the right out of the gate, then crashed into the lead horse down the track after that, but they say there is no limping in the barn right now. Maybe something internal, but they say Big Brown was not limping in the barn after he cooled down. Big Brown was for sure not himself, but that is racing. Maybe it was the heat.but the mile and a half is what caused me to say a few weeks ago Big Brown will be challenged. At least I have still seen 3 Triple Crown winners in my life.

They stopped giving him steroids this month. He as been getting anabolic steroids once a month and he didn't get them because they wanted to show he was a good horse without them. At least thats what was reported in the pre race coverage.

At least thats what was reported in the pre race coverage. Well yeah I saw they said that, but maybe it was ........THE MOB !!!!! getting to a shady trainer!!!!!!!!! Na Big Brown just didn't have it,there was more of a reason to not give him steriods than to prove he was a great horse,I feel. There was $5.5 Million bet on Big Brown to win and only $186,000 to win on Da'tara !!!!!

The trainer just said on ESPN said that Big Brown does not look hurt and he will scope for internal bleeding but the horse looks fine the trainer said,he was on Lasik and was not coughing so who knows. They will have to put a scope down the throat of the horse to check for bleeding but if he is not coughing that usually means no bleeding. Yeah he did not get his May 15th shot of steroids but even with no steroids that does not make you pull up and finish last. The Jockey did the right thing to pull Big Brown up. I don't think he will race again.

At least thats what was reported in the pre race coverage. I think the steroids thing was just a story that someone was trying to make significant. From what I saw, they stopped giving him steroids in April so you would think it would've had an effect on the other 2 races as well. I honestly think there was nothing wrong physically with him at all, it just wasn't his day. Maybe it was the heat, maybe he just didn't want to run, maybe the track was deeper than he was used to so he didn't feel comfortable, maybe the mile and a half was too much for him. Who knows... all we know for sure is it'll be at least another year before we see another Triple Crown winner.

Yep, I do remember that... and, in my defense, I did say if he runs anywhere as well as he did at the Preakness he won't be challenged. He didn't run anywhere near as well, so I'm still right! lol
