msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/8381934I think the Jets just became a playoff team. The Jets now have a QB who can throw the ball down the field consistently for the duration of an entire game.

I'm estatic...People who know me know I love two things:
1)The New York Jets 2) Brett Favre (although the last few months have been tiresome)
I cannot wait to see what he can do with Coles, Cotchery, and rookie TE Keller. Not only do we have a passing game over 25 yards now...but with the reformed offensive line and with Favre at QB defenses wont be able to stack 8-9 in the box and totally shut down TJones and Neon Leon (see last year.)
Looking forward to a Nov 1st 'Cuse game against Louisville...then heading out to Buffalo the day after to see Favre in Green n White!

I think Farve handled the situation like an ASS, but thats no worse than many other high profile sports stars have done so I guess thats par for the course.
As far as with the Jets, is Favre an update hell yah, is he going to get them into the playoffs hell no. He had a great season last year but in the end he was still Farve and tossed the game to the G-Men. He will have a lot more interseptions this season because of learning a new system and new recievers. He will also have alot of TD passes and good yardage numbers. All theta sais the Bills and Pats will be better than the Jets in the AFC East this season and I think the Bills will either be the last team in or out of the playoffs.

jordoo I'm not sure that I agree with what you said.
The Packers were in the wrong. He's their team, he's their reason the fans go to see them play, he's their source of all income, he's a Packer. He made his mistake when he wanted to come back, but he's one of the best QB's ever, and he put up all those receords as a Packer and he should have the same status as any other "legend" for their team. I would have agreed if he took the $20 million to retire, but he didn't. so it wasn't just about money.
Not to mention he was 2nd in MVP voting behind Brady. So he was the 2nd best player in the league last year, that should be reason enough to bring him back.

If the packers truly think they're going far in the playoffs with Aaron Rodgers they are smoking some good shit. The packers are probably going 8-8 and missing the playoffs...MAYBE they go 10-6 and sneak in and lose in the first round. This is great for the Jets, as they now will be the 2nd best team in the AFC east. (No way the Bills are going to have a winning season). I wouldn't be surprised to see the Jets making the playoffs as a wild-card team and shocking someone. How great would it be to see Favre at Indy or NE in the playoffs. That would be outstanding.

And that picture of Favre in the snow is great...Is his face doctored onto penningtons body in that picture, or is his outfit doctored in that picture?

I believe I read somewhere that the Jets would owe the Packers three first round picks if they decided they wanted to trade Favre to Minnesota. Not sure if there's a similar clause for the Bears.

That would be understandable considering how QB starved that division is. Its actually a smart move if the Packers put that clause in.

Farve publically pressured the Packers trying to get them to release him so he could sign with the Vikings. He launched a PR campaigne through the media to get released, bashing the front office and coach. IMO thats being an ASS wether your a legand or not. Like you say though at least he didn't take the 20mill so he did really want to play. Hey it just my opinion and your certainly entitled to yours.

All due respect...packer land was sold out year after year even before Favre got there and it won't change.
