I've heard of Oskar Blues, what area of the country is it from? TenFidy- is a Russain Imperial in a can and its supposedly good, I think its brewed by Oscar as well. They're from Colorado. If I'm not mistaken, they don't bottle beer. All of their beers are in can. You're right, the TenFidy is by them as well... Dale's Pale Ale is another good one from them, but Gordon is easily the best

Nice they have both Tenfidy and Gordon at State Line Liquors, so at the very least I'll be enjoying them on vacation.
There actually is some good evidence that its better for the beer to be stored in a can and if you poor it into a glass it has absolutely no effect on the taste.

Sam Adams Summer Ale....Pretty good after a day working in the yard. Nice flavor and a smooth finish. I was pleasantly suprised, which is funny considering I love the Oktoberfest.

The only Sam Adams I 've had and didn't like was the Cherry Wheat. On the whole its a very good brewery that puts out good beer that is enjoyable. Its just so well distributed that I forget to buy it as much as I should. I am an especially big fan of the Boston Lager on Tap for extented drinking sessions.

Agreed the more I diversify and try new stuff the further down my listy stuf like Saranac and Sam Adams go. Not that they arn't good and enjoyable, just that with the availability of beer that I consider better they become less and less regukar in my stock pile.

Sam Lager is available on tap just about everywhere, so I'll pick that every day of the week over anything BudMillerCoors, but in places that have large tap selections or large bottle selections, there are countless beers I'll go to before Sam or Saranac

Not going to have time to update this week, hope you guys don't add too many more. I know I did the Big Sky Brewing Company Ale Sampler: Trout Slayer Ale - Hoppy Ale, decent flavor, decent finish, not too full bodied though. Moose Drool Brown - Great brown, would buy it again in a heartbeat. Scape Goat Pale - Good solid pale. Can't complain about too much Big Sky IPA - Very citrusy IPA, not my schtick, but some who like the heavy citrus hops would absolutely adore it.

Finally got my hands on some Meantime IPA and I must say, it's perfection in a bottle. I can't recommend this beer highly enough.
It was a light drinking weekend, so I didn't really get through much, but I've also got the following sitting in my fridge right now
Oskar Blues Gordon (still the best can beer on the planet) Allagash Odyssey Allagash Interlude Houblon Chouffe Doubbelen Tripel IPA Coney Island Albino Python He'Brew Bittersweet Lenny's R.I.P.A

Will do. I should be getting to it in the next couple of days. All depends on which one of them catches my eye when I open the fridge.

I tried a few Real Ale's from texas and also a sampler from Duclaw Brewery a local brewpub.
Real Ale-Rio Blanco Pale Ale: (B-) Decent pale ale and easy drinking, just not a whole lot to it in the end, and that seemed to be the theme for the Real Ale's. Real Ale-Full Moon Rye Pale Ale: (B) Very well ballanced and tasty yet not quite enough Rye for me, I would have rated it higher as a standard Pale Ale. Real Ale-Firemans 4 Blonde Ale: (B-) Blonds aren't my favorite, but this one was decent and had some strange but pleasant whitegrape/greenapple aftertaste.
I had an 11 serving (4oz each) sampler Friday night at Duclaw Brewery with my dinner. 44oz is a bit tough to get down with dinner, but what can I say I managed ;D!
Of note good: Hell Raiser: American IPA, they used all american hops but aparently only the bittering ones. Even the nose is bitter if thats possible, LOL. Anyways it was extremely fresh and I personally enjoy bitter so I took home a growler of it taht served me well the rest of the weekend. It really could have been excellent with a more well rounded hop bill, IMO. Consecration: Brown Ale, this was a hopped up brown ale that was pretty tasty, definately worth a try. Forgot the name, but it was a Rasberry Stout that was absolutely great with desert. Actually all 3 of there stouts were very well done, IMO.
Of note bad: Pretty much all the lighter beers. The Australian style lager was just yucky, if I had more than 4oz I wouldn't have finished it. The Imperial pilsner tasted more like alcohol than anything else and other than the color was not a pilsner, IMO. The blonde was very drinkable but nondescript. There was one other and I don't even remember what it was. I even drank the lighter brews first on a clean palet.
