It may not be 1987, but this is a damn good matchup and game 1 has been a war so far.
I know the NBA has it's flaws, but if you like bball I don't see how you can not like this.

I see another boston team is trying to buy($$$$$) another championship. I give them credit, they made good moves. They did make the trades, not sign them. Gave up a young star in Al Jefferson, and a lot of young players who could develop (Jeff Greene). To trade for Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen in one offseason is ridiculous, but they somehow pulled it off. First good move they made in years.

If you complain that Boston bought a title, then LA did the same with that mugging of Memphis for Gasol.

It's not buying a title when you trade for the guys and give up good value for them. It's not like they signed 10 free agents this season or something. It's not like they have close to the highest payroll in the NBA (see NY Knicks who suck).
The C's did it by the book and they did it fast. Will they likely pay with some down years soon? Bigtime in all likelyhood. That is a small price to pay to get this team back on the map.
I was telling you guys before the season started that this league was worth watching.

No matter how compelling this series turns out to be, its impossible to watch when every game starts at 9pm EST. Why do weekend games have to be played so late?

I see another boston team is trying to buy($$$$$) another championship. NBA has a salary cap, so they're playing by the same set of rules as everyone... unlike a certain team in another sport that will remain nameless.

I've wathced about 10min of the first two games so far. They are way to late and I'm honestly pretty sick of both of these teams. Anyway I'm shocked that the Lakers didn't take one in boston. But I would be equally shocked if it doesn't go back to boston tied 2-2. SO I do plan on trying to watch game 5 which I think will be the deciding game if LA takes it they win the series in 6 and if Boston takes it they win in 7.
