I have been bitching for years that there is no good beer in Florida, until I found the Orlando brewing company. It is all 100% Organic, and the brewery is also a bar, all in a rundown old warehouse district. If ever in Orlando check it out.

I just had a Labatt Max Ice(I would say nobody has seen it yet, have you guys seen it,and I look every day for new beer,LOL) it is only 7.1%. What is regular Labatt Ice(5.9% ?) anyway that Saranac Imperial Pale Ale is way up there around 9%(I think)and very good, not the regular Saranac Pale Ale,the Imperial.

Old Speckled Hen - An English Ale that is fantastic. Great with a fine cigar.
Smuttynose IPA - too dry for my taste but the label had two old guys sitting in front of a rusty trailer so I could not resist buying it. I had one later in the night after I was slightly intoxicated and it still wasnt very good.

Don't know if its been mentioned here or not, but this weekend, we grabbed some Anchor Steam Beer, from the Anchor Brewery in San Fran. Pretty damn solid. Really odd taste that I can't desribe, but it sits real well on the palette.
Sad thing is I had that yesterday, and am now sitting here watching the game with a 12 pack of screamers... bit of a change.

. Solid ale taste with that nutty hint. anytime you refer to something as having a "nutty taste" it would probably be wise to say "no homo". I recall having a "syracuse brew" at outback steak house near carrier circle last time I was up there. has anyone else tried this?

Tried a couple holiday beers the other night at Ryan's Wake in Troy. The Sierra Nevada Celebration was fairly good. Not too much for a winter beer. The Harpoon Winter whatever however was awful. I almost didn't drink the thing, which is saying a ton. I kept hoping it would change, but it's terrible.

Wholeheartedly agree on both counts, the Sierra is decent, the Harpoon, makes me want to kill a kitten...
