Static X - Wisconsin Death Trip Get up on this Wisconsin Death Trip! Another blast from the past. Now I'm gonna have to throw that disk on. Trance is the Motion, Push It, Bled for Days, Down, The title track... So many good songs. Guess I'll throw some Static X, Gravity Kills, old Nine Inch Nails and Pitchshifter on a playlist now. When I posted, I was afraid I was the only one that doesn't listen to hip hop. I pretty much stopped buying discs once the trips were born (something about cash flow...) this was one of the last ones I got. But I listen to XM Squizz alot - if I was buying discs today, I'd be into Alter Bridge/Breaking Benjamin/Chevelle. At the office I have my entire cd collection ripped so its easy to pick something that fits my mood. Heavy dev = faster paced music.

Red - End of Silence (whole album) www.redmusiconline.com/palebird/index.htmlI normally tend to shy away from bands that come right out and say they're "Christian", because most of them go over the top with the "God is great" lyrics and that ain't really my bag. But these guys have done a very good job of writing lyrics so that it's clear what the message is, but it's subtle enough that it doesn't overpower the experience. Add to that the fact that it's just kick ass rock mixed with some interesting instrumentals and it's a formula for an album that's great listening from start to finish I'm in that same opinion. I'll check them out.

If you know they're Christian and really listen to the lyrics, you can pick up on what they're singing about. But if you just listen to the song without knowing that, you'd never know. Plus they don't limit themselves to just playing with other Christian bands. Sure, they've toured with Flyleaf and a few other Christian bands... but they've also toured with bands like Sevendust, Chevelle, Breaking Benjamin, and Three Days Grace

Well, todays flavor seems to be old ska/reggae - The Skatelites and Toots and the Maytals.

I'm pretty heavily into classical music ... ... Beatles, Stones, Beach Boys, Doors, Animals ...
