IMO the Blue is by far the best they offer, but they're all very good... I would highly recommend trying all of them at some point Noted and I most likely will, but I have actually promissed not to buy any beer for a month. That will end July 5th. But its not a problem as I would estimate that I have probably 120 12oz bottles and about 20 bigger sized bottles. Many of these beers I've yet to try! The worst beer of the bunch is Yuengling and I enjoy them. I think I've got enough to make it through the 4th.

LOL. I would bet mor than half were purchases that the Beer Nazi (wife) doesn't know about. Well at least I am still a nice guy and insist on doing the bills and ballancing the accounts so she doesn't have to.

I used to have a beer nazi....she was relentless...she would count the stock in the fridge to figure out how many i drank during a college football saturday....little did she know i caught on to that scheme and started keeping a cooler in the basement(my man cave was down there and she hated going down) so the fridge always had one or two missing when in all reality i drank a case plus...

My gf is Canadian so she can't work yet, so all the money that comes in is mine... and if she argues I can have her deported... lol

My wife is not that bad, its really just a money issue with her. God if she really knew what some of these high end beers cost!!! I do however think that Eldiablo is on to something with the foreign gf with no work permit.

I'm heading home next weekend to raft the Black River, I'm going to have to pick some up while I'm there... especially after this thread I think I know the place in Lowville you're talking about, but I haven't been over there in years so I have no idea if it's still there or not How hard is the Black flowing? Usually it calms down this time of year. The house I grew up in is actually right on the Black down at Kayuta Lake. Great river to hit non-powered. As per the Lowville place, I haven't been there in years, so i can't remember the name to save my life either.

I'm going with a group of like 20 people and I had nothing to do with setting it up. I'm just showing up and seeing what happens. My guess is we're not going to see all the river can throw at us though.

i always make a stop at mario and salvos when i am up there.
just found a meat shop in atl that carries hoffman hot dogs and conies. the butcher said that any shipment is gone as soon as he gets it.
everytime i went home while i was still in school i had to bring home loaves of columbus bread and lbs and lbs of gianelli. it was so annoying driving all over the city always hungover before my flights

Good thread, biggest thing I miss from home is the food! BTW, for all you spiedie sauce fans, ditch that NYS Fair stuff and get the original, Lupo's Spiedie Sauce.. It's way better. You can get it anywhere in Binghamton and a few places in Syr, I always got mine at the butcher shop in L'pool called "Mazzeye's Meat Market". Good tip for the day, marinate a pork tenderloin in lupos over night then grill 6 min a side (4), it will come out perfect, don't overcook though!
I also miss all the above mentioned, especially the Dino and Blarney Burgers! Good Italian places like Santangelo's or Joey's are hard to come by as well. Italian bread is non-existant down here, would love a loaf from Columbus, or better yet, Rosalie's in Skaneateles bakes the best Italian bread I've ever tasted. Yes, better than Columbus. My choice for Pizza was always Twin Trees or Paladino's (mattydale), they make a meatball calzone that tastes like candy.
And speaking of brew, I really miss all the brewfests and of course, Middle Ages Brewery. A lot of people in Syr don't realize what a gem Middle Ages is. Their beer is very consistant, high-quality and cheap.
And the homemade pierogies from the Ukranian Home .... ok, I gotta stop now!
Croghan Boloney Rocks!
